“Fairways and Runways” Fashion Show & Luncheon presented by Certified Angus Beef®
Attendees were treated to an afternoon of fun, fashions by Talbots and jewelry by Hauser's Jewelers. Grand Ballroom at Kingsmill Resort & Spa 2008 Sponsor Gala – Tropical Beach Party played host to the event, where Lisa Moore was recognized as the winner of the Fairways, Fashion & Flavor Recipe Contest. Jane Grantham, Fashion Merchandising Manager with In Style Magazine, spoke about fashion and new trends while she emceed the fashion show. Proceeds from this event benefit Junior League of Hampton Roads Community Projects.

Junior Clinic presented by Wal-Mart Distribution Center 6088
LPGA Tour professionals, Charlotte Mayorkas, Angela Park and Jane Park, assisted with Tuesday’s Junior Clinic presented by Wal-Mart Distribution Center 6088. With nearly 200 juniors in attendance, the pros shared their skills and taught them golf fundamentals in an effort to encourage their interest in the game. Following the exhibition clinic the kids participated in hands on instruction with members of the Middle Atlantic Professional Gof Association.Every child in attendance received a complimentary commemorative t-shirt and a Be the Ball headcover. |

LPGA Players Help Break Ground With Habitat for Humanity
The LPGA Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill, as well as several other local businesses, partnered with Habitat for Humanity to form a Women's Build to construct a safe, decent, and affordable Habitat home. The Women's Build is designed to include more women in construction activities. A groundbreaking ceremony took place on Tuesday, May 6, at 10 a.m. at the site of the house. Wayne Nooe, Michelob ULTRA Open Tournament Director, as well as LPGA Tour Players Brittany Lang and Hee Young Park were in attendance as Habitat for Humanity broke ground on Lillie Mae Griffin's home-to-be. |

2008 Sponsor Gala – Tropical Beach Party
Birds of paradise, leis, beach music, and exotic animals are just a few examples of what guests enjoyed when they entered the Tropical Beach Party hosted on the Bray Links Landing. This invitation only event offered great food, live music, fun décor, and a fantastic musically choreographed fireworks display to conclude the evening. LPGA players, tournament sponsors, Official Pro-Am participants, and members of the volunteer leadership enjoyed this fun-filled evening. |
