The 3rd Annual Boys & Girls Clubs Charity Pro-Am presented by Cox Communications hosted 60 amateur participants paired with 15 pros for a fun-filled morning on Kingsmill’s Wood Course. Participants in this tournament had the opportunity to play with an LPGA professional but they were not the only beneficiaries; at the conclusion of the tournament, a check for $30,000 was given to Boys & Girls Clubs affiliates in the greater Hampton Roads area. The winning team, captained by Jackie Gallagher-Smith, finished four strokes ahead of the pack with a final score of 54. Gallagher-Smith was paired with Kevin Campbell, Susan Koger, Sandy Marquez, and Bob Vislocky.

First Place Team - Congratulations!!
Immediately following play, five representatives from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula attempted to sink a putt to win their mom 6 months of FREE cable provided by Cox Communications. Each child gave a great effort, but the pressure of the 18th green was too much and no one was able to sink their putt. In appreciation for a great effort, Cox Communications still awarded each child with the prize! The contest was hosted by Tim Parker, from FM99 and Gary McCollum and Thom Prevette were onsite to award the prizes from Cox Communications.
New for 2007, the Family Fun Zone is an interactive area where juniors and adults can play between putts. Open on Saturday and Sunday, the area features face painting and inflatable games such as laser tag, a giant slide, and a tiger moonwalk. Placed conveniently on the first fairway of the Plantation Course, the Family Fun Zone provides an area for children to recharge and play.
Also, immediately following play, entertainment was provided by Sons of Sailors in the 19th Hole. Families stayed to enjoy the band and the beautiful weather.
