The Official Pro-Am gives amateurs the opportunity to play with LPGA Tour players at the top of the ADT Official Money List; the top 50 players from the 2007 Michelob ULTRA Open professional field and 8 tournament sponsor selections were paired with the amateur teams. A field of 232 amateurs had the opportunity to play the River Course under professional tournament conditions. The amateur foursomes were randomly paired with the LPGA professionals for an exciting round on the River Course.
Michelob ULTRA Ambassador and 2003 Michelob ULTRA Open champion led her team to victory with a team round of 53 in the Official Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill Pro-Am Tournament. Park was paired with Jason Pak, Toby Dawson, David Kim and James Kang. Teams captained by Lorena Ochoa and Meg Mallon finished second and third.
Playing in the Official Pro-Am is a three-day event filled with parties and a practice round. The Monday evening draw party is held for the players to determine both their tee time and the LPGA professional their team will be paired with for the tournament. On Tuesday, a warm-up event is held to give all the amateurs the opportunity to play together as a team, before being joined by the pros. Wednesday brings the excitement of teeing it up with a pro and later attending the awards reception hoping that your team has secured the winning trophy.
