The 2007 Fairways and Runways Fashion Show and Luncheon was held in the James River Grand Ballroom on Tuesday, May 8. The fourth annual show featured clothing by Carlisle and Etcetera Clothing Companies. In addition, Elizabeth Lavigna, the Fashion Merchandising Manager from In Style magazine, discussed the latest in fashion trends. Proceeds from this event benefit Junior League of Hampton Roads Community Projects.
Kris Tamulis and Dina Ammaccapane complete the field for the 2007 Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill after finishing first and second respectively in Tuesday’s LPGA Qualifier on Kingsmill’s Plantation Course. Tamulis shot a 68, with Ammaccapane was one stroke back at 69.
Becky Iverson, Hilary Lunke, Mi Hyun Kim and Lee Ann Walker-Cooper assisted with the Junior Clinic presented by Wal-Mart Distribution Center 6088. With over 200 juniors in attendance, the professionals shared their skills and taught them about the fundamentals of golf in an effort to encourage their interest in the game. Following the exhibition clinic the kids participated in hands on instruction with members of the Middle Atlantic Professional Gof Association.
Masks, beads, and décor of green, purple, and gold dressed the Bray Links Landing to create the feel of a Mardi Gras Celebration on Bourbon Street. This invitation only event offered great food, live music, fun décor, and an amazing fireworks show to conclude the evening. LPGA players, tournament sponsors, Official Pro-Am participants, and members of the volunteer leadership enjoyed this fun-filled evening.
