Will, Ammaccapane Complete
Field
Maggie Will and Dina Ammaccapane
complete the field for the 2006
Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill
after finishing first and second
respectively in Monday’s
LPGA Qualifier on Kingsmill’s
Plantation Course. Will
shot a 68, with Ammaccapane
one stroke back at 69.
2006 Habitat for Humanity
Women's Build
LPGA Tour players Kelly Lagedrost,
Katherine Hull and Catherine
Cartwright will join local representatives
from Habitat for Humanity for
a groundbreaking ceremony marking
the start of the 2006 Women’s
Build. Local sponsors
donated $65,000 to initiate
construction of a local home
to benefit a family in need.
Each year, players from the
Michelob ULTRA Open participate
in the groundbreaking ceremony
along with past home recipients
and tournament director Wayne
Nooe. The groundbreaking
ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at
133 Magruder Ave. in Williamsburg.
Fairways and Runways
Fashion Show
FOX Sports correspondent Leeann
Tweeden hosts a fundraiser fashion
show featuring LPGA Tour players
and hosted by the Junior League
of Hampton Roads. Proceeds
benefit a variety of Junior
League community projects.
The fashion show begins at 11:30
a.m. in the James River Grand
Ballroom.
Hometown Girls
Brittany Lang and Kris Tschetter
are Virginia’s entries
in the 2006 Michelob ULTRA Open.
Lang, a native of Richmond now
living in McKinney, Texas finished
tied for 8th at the Kraft Nabisco
Championship. Tschetter,
who hails from Detroit and now
lives in Warrenton, Va., tied
for 31st at the Florida’s
Natural Charity Championship.
