The third annual Boys & Girls Clubs Charity Pro-Am presented by Cox Communications was a tremendous success; bringing the total contribution raised to $88,000 over the last three years for the Boys & Girls Clubs affiliates in the greater Hampton Roads area. The Michelob ULTRA Open is excited to continue its partnership with the 2008 Boys & Girls Clubs Charity Pro-Am. The Boys & Girls Clubs' mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Through Cox Communications presenting sponsorship and your support, we will aid in furthering technology centers and technology integration services for deserving youth in our community.
The Boys & Girls Clubs Charity Pro-Am presented by Cox Communications will be hosted at 8:00 am on Kingsmill’s Woods Course. Prior to play, participants will have an opportunity to practice and enjoy a continental breakfast. The event will be played using a scramble format. Each team of four amateurs will be paired with an LPGA professional from the field of the 2008 Michelob ULTRA Open.
Immediately following play, each participant and a guest will be invited to attend an awards reception held on-site. Additionally, all amateurs will receive a commemorative gift bag and two clubhouse tickets to the Michelob ULTRA Open for Saturday and Sunday, May 10-11.
